Darryl Elliott, PT
Darryl is a partner and physical therapist at Bay State Physical Therapy in Weymouth, Boston and Scituate. He graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1990. Darryl earned board certification as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) from 1996 to 2006. He has practiced in outpatient orthopedics over the past twenty years as well as teaching at Northeastern University and Boston University. Darryl now enjoys incorporating his clinical expertise with his passion for teaching to mentor his staff in order to achieve the best possible physical therapy experience for each patient.

Darryl has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1991 and Rotary International since 2002. He is the President of the Northeastern University Physical Therapy Alumni Association. Darryl’s other areas of interest included: golf, skiing, basketball, cooking and coaching his two young sons in many sports such as hockey, basketball, soccer and baseball.

Jeanne Spillane, PT

Jeanne Spillane, PT
Jeanne Spillane graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1979. Her clinical experience for the past twenty years has focused on outpatient orthopedics treating a variety of patients from high school athletes to an active geriatric population. Jeanne is dedicated to providing quality care to her patients. She has extensive training in manual therapy of the spine, TMJ and extremities, lumbar stabilization, back education, and work conditioning. Her neurological background includes general rehabilitation, THI, balance, and gait. Jeanne is able to integrate a variety of evaluation and treatment strategies, and is motivated to help patients achieve their functional goals.

Kerry Fogarty, MSPT

Kerry Fogarty, PT, MSPT
Kerry is a senior physical therapist at Bay State Physical Therapy in Scituate, MA. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Providence College in 1994 while participating on their collegiate soccer team. Kerry then received an M.S. in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2000. She has ten years of outpatient experience treating orthopedic, sports, work related and motor vehicle injuries. Her treatment approach involves active patient participation and education, combined with sound functional therapeutic exercise and manual technique designed to return patients to normal functioning of daily activities and sport specific tasks.

Kathy Hines, PT

Kathy Hines, PT
Kathy Hines graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Canada with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Kathy has experience both in the acute care and outpatient settings. Kathy's interests include the rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries using manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, functional training, and patient education. This approach allows patients to achieve their goals and return to their work and recreational activities.

 
 
Nancy McDonald

Nancy McDonald, PT
Nancy McDonald graduated with a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1987 from Simmons College after graduating from Boston College with a B.A. in English. She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, acute trauma, and pediatrics at early intervention. She enjoys helping patients with all types of orthopedic injuries return to full functional capacity and participate in activities that they enjoy. Nancy utilizes a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and a strong emphasis on patient education.

Bridget McGovern, PT, DPT, ATC
Bridget graduated from Simmons College with a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1986. In 2005, she earned a Certificate of Advanced Study and ultimately completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2007 at MGH Institute of Health Professions. She earned board certification as a Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (1995-2005) and is also licensed as an Athletic Trainer. For the past 10 years, Dr. McGovern has been on the faculty at Simmons College in the Entry Level Doctoral program as a lab instructor. She enjoys splitting her time being engaged in the education of future physical therapists while maintaining patient care in the clinic. Her clinic background includes evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports related injuries. Dr. McGovern enjoys working with a variety of patients and most importantly takes pleasure in assisting her patients to accomplish their functional goals in physical therapy.

Stephanie Pijanowski, PT, MSPT
Stephanie graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a B.S. in biology.  She then completed her M.S. in Physical Therapy at Boston University.  Stephanie has practiced in inpatient rehabilitation and homecare settings treating patients with impairments from neurological disorders, brain injuries, orthopedic injuries and surgeries, and medical and surgical debility.  Her passion is working with individuals who have neurological impairment and received her certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) in 1998.  Stephanie uses her NDT skills and Body Weight Supported Treadmill Training (BWSTT) to improve the timing and pattern of muscle function during movement, the efficiency of movement and balance.  In doing so, she helps her patients achieve their goals with improved function and safety in their daily lives.

Lesley Smith

Lesley Smith, PT, DPT, MSPT
Lesley graduated from Boston University with an M.S. in Physical Therapy and then completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at MGH Institute of Health Professions. For over a decade she has treated patients across a variety of settings with neurological diagnoses including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Dr. Smith has extensive experience in using Body Weight Supported Treadmill Training (BWSTT) in her treatments and travels around the country training other therapists in this evidence-based intervention. A member of the neurology section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Dr. Smith is constantly updated on advancements in neurological rehabilitation. She thoroughly enjoys working with her patients and gets immense satisfaction from making a difference in people’s lives.

Veronica Schlegel, PT
Veronica trained in London at St Mary's hopspital and has worked in the UK, Africa and the USA. Interested in the way forces effect our bodies, from injury, surgery or positional activity, she has studied many techniques to help free the relevant restriction and the systems effected- musculo skeletal, nervous, vascular, lymphatic and also the visceral system. She develops personal plans to help lenghten and strengthen musclegroups and uses integrative somatic movement techniques to allow the body to relearn 'correct' movement. She works with all ages, from newborn (torticollis, colic) to the elderly.
