Bay State Physical Therapy has announced that it will acquire Robert Verzone Physical Therapy in Halifax, MA this Spring. Robert Verzone Physical Therapy has provided excellent patient care to the residents of Halifax and the surrounding towns for the past 10+ years. We are excited to build on the great reputation that Robert Verzone has established in the community.
Ryan Myers PT, DPT, OMT, FAAOMPT will serve as the Clinic Managing Partner for this location. Ryan also serves as the Managing Partner of our Norwell, MA location.

September 2018: Comprehensive Management of the Foot & Ankle Complex

Course Description:
- Foot and ankle pathology is common in physical therapy practice. This course will review the examination and treatment of selected foot and ankle pathologies impacting patients across the adult lifespan. Through lecture presentations, hands-on laboratory sessions, and discussions of clinical presentations with integrated video case studies, participants will gain an understanding of normal and abnormal gait as it relates to orthopedic dysfunction. In addition, participants will gain an understanding of various foot and ankle pathologies and evidence-based treatment interventions to maximize function.

April 2018: Management of Upper Extremity Pathology in the Overhead Athlete

Course Description:
- Upper extremity pathology is common in the general population and even more frequent with overhead athletes. The rehabilitation professional must understand the biomechanics of the shoulder and elbow complex as it relates to overhead activity. To be successful in this specialized population it is important to understand the common form errors associated with pathology as well as the rehabilitation progression for a safe return to the demands of overhead activity. The purpose of this presentation is to present an evidence-based review of current physical therapy practice for the management and treatment of shoulder and elbow pathology in the overhead athlete. The principles of dynamic stabilization as it relates to an overhead athlete population will be discussed. Criteria for a safe progression to overhead sport following injury will also be included.

New Clinic Opening – Swampscott, MA December 1, 2017
Bay State Physical Therapy is excited to announce that Peak Performance Physical Therapy is now Bay State Physical Therapy in Swampscott, MA. This PT clinic is located at 173 Essex St, across the street from Swampscott High School. The clinic is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and can be reached at 781-586-0550.
The Swampscott location specializes in manual physical therapy, sports medicine, orthopedics, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, pain management, geriatrics, and aquatic physical therapy. We are very pleased to welcome Jimmy Kantor, and his physical therapy staff to Bay State Physical Therapy. Bret Ferrell, PT, MSPT, CSCS will serve as the clinic managing partner.
