Kara has been practicing in outpatient physical therapy for 15 years.  She has extensive experience in treating conditions of the foot and ankle, neck and back injuries, post surgical shoulder, hip and knees.  She has a special interest in patient advocacy and unique surgical cases. Kara has written and presented papers on Pharmacology, Radiology and Evidenced Based Medicine and its relationship to the current physical therapy patient.

Kara sees patients in our Brockton clinic during the week and is the director  and managing partner of Abington and Brockton. Kara is married and has three children that are active in swimming, soccer and dive. Kara is also a member of the Brockton Rotary club and her family is involved in community projects and charitable events through the Brockton area.

Katy is the clinic manager at Bay State in Brockton, having been with the company since early 2013.  She has advanced certifications including becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2017.  She also attended the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2015 and received IOMT Level I certification.  Katy graduated from Simmons College in 2013 with her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, during her time at Simmons she was a member of the tennis team and attended the NCAA tournament for 3 years.  Katy developed a passion for physical therapy beginning in high school that intensified with her own history of receiving PT for a foot injury in college.  Katy treats a variety of orthopedic injuries with a focus on restoring function to pre-injury status.

Cindy is a graduate of the Cortiva Institute-Muscular Therapy Institute, located in Watertown, MA.  The 900-hour intensive professional training in Muscular Therapy included extensive hands-on practice in the classroom as well as the on-site student therapy center.  Upon graduation, Cindy continued her studies, focusing on oncology massage.  She holds intensive and advanced training certificates in caring for clients with cancer.

Cindy is licensed to practice massage in theCommonwealth of Massachusetts.  In addition, she is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

Cindy combines muscular therapy techniques with client self-care education to ensure the highest quality of health maintenance and pain relief according to the goals and needs of her clients.  Clients living with cancer or cancer history are encouraged to contact Cindy; she will work with you and your oncology care team to develop a course of massage therapy that supports your recovery efforts.

In 2008, Cindy fulfilled a long-term goal by joining the per diem massage therapy staff at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies.  In addition, she volunteers at, or participates in, fundraisers, health fairs, workshops and conferences held by organizations focused on oncology care and research.

Bisi earned a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria 2001 and is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Flint Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2013. She earned a Clinical Concentration Certificate in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan, Flint in 2014.  She has experience in Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy and has worked with various National Sports teams in Nigeria including the National Female Soccer Team.  She is happily married, God fearing and loves new experiences and is constantly seeking a good challenge.

Sara is a graduate of Simmons College Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, earning her degree in August 2015. She earned her Bachelors in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011. Sara treats a variety of orthopedic conditions and has a passion for patients with neurological conditions. Her clinical affiliation experience included working with patients in geriatric population in a skilled nursing facility, acute care hospital experience, custom foot orthotic prescription and fitting, and working with multiple orthopedic conditions.

 

Sara grew up in New York and moved to Massachusetts full time in 2012. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, trivia, going to the beach, and watching sports (especially hockey).

Sarah is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2017 and her Bachelors of Science in 2014. From her clinical experiences in New York City, Sarah has experience treating a variety of conditions spanning all body systems, including orthopedic conditions, lymphedema, and torticollis in infants. Sarah treats a variety of orthopedic conditions and is especially passionate about treating the pediatric population, as well as dancers.

Originally from New Jersey, Sarah grew up performing ballet and assisting at her mother’s day care center. She is very excited to be a new member of the Bay State Physical Therapy team!

Renae graduated in 1996 with her Associates Degree in Physical Therapy and has been practicing in the field for 22 years.  She has extensive experience treating a varied patient population including orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics and athletes looking to return to sport.  

Renae is married with 6 children who keep her busy being involved in sports such as hockey, soccer, cross country and volleyball.
