Lauren is a born and bred Rhode Islander recently relocating to the greater Boston area.  Lauren attended the University of Rhode Island and completed her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2014, taking the accelerated route and completing her degree in three years.  She continued her studies at the University of Rhode Island earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy in May 2017. During her first year as a new grad, she worked in various skilled nursing facilities as a contract therapist aiding in coordination and management of patient’s plan of care for short term rehab to home throughout Massachusetts and Indiana. Having a wide variety of clinical experiences has inspired Lauren to focus her career towards sport specific therapy and outpatient rehabilitation. Her treatment approaches focus on strength and stability exercises with functional movement to increase coordination during activities of daily living as well as in relation to return to sport. Lauren believes patient education on functional limitations improves self-awareness and independent maintenance long after discharge.

Lauren is an avid runner completing throughout high school and college at the DI level with continued participation in multiple local running groups in Boston. She ran the Boston Marathon 2018 in 3:34:56.
