Meet Our Team 
Michael Sheehan
University Of Massachusetts Lowell

Michael Sheehan is the managing partner and clinical director of Bay State Physical Therapy in Chelmsford.  Prior to opening the Chelmsford clinic, Michael was the clinical manager of Bay State Physical Therapy in Beverly.

Michael specializes in Sports Medicine and utilizes a hands on approach to treatment of injuries to the spine and extremities. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of New Hampshire and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Michael continues to be active and enjoys playing a wide variety of sports.  He uses his athletic background and a combination of manual therapy techniques along with therapeutic exercises in order to restore function and enable patients to return to the activities they love. Michael has also taken an interest in Pediatric Care since the premature birth of his son Mikey.

Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and two active dogs Chara and Tuukka. Additionally, Michael is a huge Boston sports fan especially the Boston Bruins!

Conor Lyons
Northeastern University

Conor graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2016 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017 with a double minor in Psychology and Exercise Science. Conor completed his second clinical affiliation with Bay State Physical Therapy in the Fall of 2016 and returned to Bay State in May of 2017. Conor’s clinical experience has ranged orthopedic conditions in an outpatient setting to neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injuries and Parkinson’s Disease.

Conor prioritizes a hands-on approach with manual therapy techniques in combination with therapeutic exercise to help people return to the things they love. Conor’s experience as a collegiate varsity and club level runner lead to a passion for distance running. Conor has completed two marathons including the Boston Marathon in 2016. In his free time, Conor enjoys skiing, playing hockey and assisting with his former high school’s Track & Field Teams.

Juan Sanchez
University of Massachusetts Lowell

Juan graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology in 2015 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. Juan completed his third clinical educational experience with Bay State Physical Therapy in March of 2018 and returned to Bay State in May of 2018. Juan’s clinical experience includes various pediatric conditions such as cerebral palsy, torticollis, and Down’s Syndrome in addition to lifespan orthopedic dysfunctions in the outpatient setting. Juan utilizes therapeutic exercise in addition to manual therapy and patient education to allow for his patients to achieve their individual rehabilitation goals.

In his spare time, Juan enjoys living an active lifestyle as he is a former U.S. Marine. He also enjoys spending time with his two dalmatian dogs and cheering on New England sports teams, especially the Patriots and the Bruins.
