Ariel Hovland, PT, DPT

Graduate: Northeastern University

Ariel graduated from Northeastern University’s Doctor of physical therapy (DPT) in 2016 with a minor in psychology, and has a specialty certification in strength and conditioning (CSCS). During her time at Northeastern, Ariel built her knowledge of global health and wellness issues in South Africa, Ecuador, and Oahu. Ariel has physical therapy experience with multiple different client bases including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatric psychiatrics, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. While Ariel is passionate in rehabilitation of many different patient bases, her specialties include Functional Dry Needling, Graston Technique, and NAIOMT techniques.

Ariel has a passion for helping her clients and patients achieve their fullest potential both physically and mentally. During her time at Northeastern, Ariel completed 3 half marathons and one full Marathon in Hartford, CT. She was a member of Northeastern’s club tennis team and participated in the Club Tennis National Tournament. Ariel enjoys teaching group fitness classes at local South Boston boutique studios with a specialty in strength training and rowing. Ariel’s interests include weight lifting, cooking, hiking, playing tennis, golfing, reading and traveling.
