Tenzin Choephel, PT, DPT

Graduate: University of Rhode Island

Tenzin Choephel graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Rhode Island in 2019 and received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2015. While at URI, Tenzin had clinical experiences at Pappas Physical & Hand Therapy in an outpatient setting, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in an Acute Rehabilitation setting, & combination of acute/outpatient experience at the Boston VA. Tenzin is originally from the Medford/Somerville area & currently resides in Braintree, MA. Tenzin is very passionate about integrating innovative ways to promote biopsychosocial principles in his treatment approach, which include, but are not limited to contemporary & evidenced based Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE), functional nutrition, sleep hygiene, etc.  An area of strong interest for Tenzin is working with patients with neurological conditions such as CVA (stroke), Parkinson’s, & concussion.

Tenzin enjoys engaging with the community in promoting active, healthy, & sustainable lifestyle. Tenzin is a huge fan of the Boston Celtics & loves playing basketball, traveling, hiking, & reading.
