Pre & Post Natal Care

During the pregnancy a women's body has to adapt to accommodate the growing fetus. This, in addition to the stretching of the abdominal muscles, can place increased strain on the lower back, and joints of the legs (hips, knees, ankles).

A growing baby and increased weight gain can also cause aggravation of a prior orthopedic problem (such as plantarfasciitis). After childbirth, these changes may not resolve spontaneously and PT may be necessary for post partum or post Cesarean section rehabilitation.
