You must be in the state of Massachusetts to participate in a telehealth visit. You will need a computer with a camera and microphone, iPad or smartphone. To ensure a smooth and effective session, please follow the guidelines below:

Before the visit:

  • Test your video equipment (i.e. microphone, headset).
  • Pick a location with a consistent internet connection that is quiet and private.
  • Minimize background noise (i.e. children, barking dogs, TV). Be mindful of who is in the room with you as you and your provider will be discussing personal information about your health.
  • Join the meeting 5-10 minutes ahead of time.
  • Pick a location where you can move around safely. Clear any objects that may be in the way. Your therapist may ask you to demonstrate different motions such as bending forward or squatting. If you can easily get onto the floor, it may be helpful to have a yoga mat set up.
  • If you have access to any hand/ankle weights or resistance bands at home, have them nearby. If not, bring 2 water bottles or soup cans to use as weights.
  • If you have a home blood pressure cuff, please have this nearby in case your provider asks you to take your blood pressure.
  • Choose loose, comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

During the visit:

Center yourself on the screen so that the therapist can see you. If using a mobile device, you can prop the mobile device up with books to get the right angle.

If you run into technical difficulties, your therapist will call you, or you can call the Virtual Care Clinic at 339-463-4261.

After the visit:

Your therapist will schedule additional follow-up appointments at the end of your first visit. If you need to schedule at another time, you can call the Virtual Care Clinic at 339-463-4261.

Following these steps will help make your therapy session productive and smooth. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at your appointment!
