Elise R., PT, DPT, PCES, graduated from Northeastern University in 2015, where she earned her Bachelors in Rehabilitation Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Throughout her co-op and clinical experiences, she has worked with a variety of patient populations in different settings, including inpatient rehabilitation services and outpatient sports injury rehab. No matter the setting, Elise strives to empower her patients throughout the rehabilitation process in hopes of achieving their goals. She utilizes open communication and extensive patient education to help her patients understand their diagnosis, plan of care, and expected outcomes. Throughout her 10 years of practice, Elise has completed multiple continuing education courses on orthopedics, vertigo, concussion, and temporomandibular disorders (TMD), focusing on Pelvic Floor and Women’s Health.
After having her own child, Elise began pursuing an interest in treating Women’s Health. Elise has completed all levels of the Herman and Wallace’s Pelvic Floor Provider Series (Level 1, Level 2A, Level 2B, and Capstone) allowing her to treatment various types of pelvic floor and women’s health conditions. Currently, she is working with patients who experience a variety of pelvic conditions, including but not limited to pelvic pain, incontinence, urinary urgency, pregnancy related pain, and post-partum care. With her Pregnancy and Post Partum Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification (PCES) she can help women through all states of pregnancy and post-partum. Treatments focus on treating pain related to pregnancy, preparation and education of labor and delivery, and post-partum recovery. Each patient case is treated with extreme care and sensitivity, and each patient receives an individualized plan of care to help them achieve their goals.
Elise was a competitive swimmer for 13 years and was classically trained as a singer, later competing in national competitions with her Northeastern a’capella group. She lives on the south shore with her family and her dog Phoebe, who you may be able to meet in the office someday!
