Emilie A., PT, DPT

Graduate: MCPHS University Worcester, MA
Emilie grew up in Plainville, MA and attended MCPHS University where she received her B.S. in Pre-medical and Health Sciences and went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. At MCPHS, Emilie worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor, as well as a rehabilitation aide, and gained a lot of experience with aquatic therapy. Her interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy began at a young age after being a patient herself and being inspired by her physical therapist.

Emilie’s clinical experiences include working in the skilled nursing facility with medically complex and geriatric populations. She also has experience with the pediatric population treating infants as young as 2 months old and working with children with various neuromuscular conditions in both the clinic, aquatic, and school settings. Emilie also completed one of her clinical rotations here at BSPT Weymouth in 2022 and decided to never leave! Her clinical interests include orthopedics and post-operative patients, aquatic therapy, and pediatrics. She is dedicated to life-long learning and takes continuing education courses to further her knowledge and stay up to date on evidence-based practices. She also works closely with the interdisciplinary team here at the Weymouth club which includes on-site chiropractors, nutritionists, personal trainers, and massage therapists.

Outside of work, Emilie enjoys going on walks and staying active, and taking weekly barre and yoga classes with the amazing instructors here at the Weymouth club. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and is always up for hosting her friends and family for a nice meal! She is also obsessed with her dog Bella and enjoys watching the Boston Celtics.

Emilie’s philosophy: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” -Lao Tzu
