Reema P., DPT

Location: Bay State Physical Therapy- Methuen

Graduate: Armstrong Atlantic State University and Lynchburg University

Reema received her Bachelor’s in Cell & Molecular Biology with a minor in psychology in 2014 from Armstrong Atlantic State University. She further received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018 from Lynchburg University. She has clinical experience in a variety of niches including pediatrics, geriatrics, and pelvic health, however, her current clinical interests lie with treating a wide variety of post-surgical patients and pelvic health conditions.

After graduating, she refined her surgical treatment experience for two years at a physician-owned physical therapy surgical center; there she found her passion for post-op ACL reconstruction, total knee, and total hip arthroplasties. She enjoys treating patients post-surgery due to the close care a patient needs initially to transition them to independence with walking, running, and stairs where they are the happiest. Seeing the joy on her patients’ faces to returning to pain-free functional is what drives Reema to continuously improve her care and education.

She became enthusiastic about pelvic floor physical therapy after discussions with friends, family, and her clinical rotations. Realizing the lack of pelvic floor care and education females receive during and after pregnancy is what empowered her to further her education. She is currently certified in the first course for pelvic floor physical therapy by Herman and Wallace and is now treating females with dyspareunia and incontinence to name a few conditions. She would like to continue specializing in post-partum care and treating males post-op for prostate diagnoses.

Aside from her work interests, she recently moved up to Massachusetts from Georgia in July 2021 after getting married. During her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband to adventure and explore the Northeast.
