Ana S., PTA, graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island with an Associate’s in Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assisting. Ana became a therapist to help clients reduce symptoms and improve function. After working as a nursing assistant and helping care for elderly relatives, she developed an awareness of how maintaining everyday function was crucial to an active and independent lifestyle, which inspired her to pursue a career in Physical Therapy.
Ana has extensive experience in the outpatient setting and is an enthusiastic manual therapist employing such skills as myofascial release, craniosacral techniques, muscle energy techniques, etc. She especially enjoys working with the elderly and chronic pain patients with conditions such as migraines, fibromyalgia, and connective tissue disorders. With her manual skills and accompanied by appropriate exercises she helps patients decrease symptoms and optimize function. She also speaks Portuguese.
In her free time, Ana enjoys spending time with family, practicing Pilates, painting, and reading.
