Jody graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS degree in Physical Therapy in 1981. She moved back to Boston and worked at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital and then Brigham and Women’s Hospital. After rotating through several PT hospital therapy settings, she became manager of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She has worked at both Bay State Physical Therapy – 885 Main Street and Bay State Physical Therapy -Jean Avenue, formerly known as Drum Hill Physical Therapy and Tewksbury Physical Therapy, for over 20 years.
She became interested in physical therapy when her gymnastic coach encouraged her to explore the career. She enjoys seeing a variety of orthopedic and general medicine conditions. Her PT interests include fall risk and balance and reconditioning programs, pre- and post-surgical treatment orthopedic therapy as well as ankle and foot conditions. Her treatment objective is that through comprehensive treatment and education, patients can return to their optimum fitness level. She has completed numerous continuing education courses with a concentration in shoulder and foot rehabilitation. She is certified in the Graston technique and trained in kineseo taping.
