Julie F., MSPT

Julie graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland in 2004 with an MSc in Sport Medicine and BSc in Physiotherapy. During her time in Ireland, Julie worked with national-level athletes and presented her thesis at the European College of Sports Science in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Julie worked in several city hospitals and private practices and developed a strong manual therapy background. Upon return to the United States in 2006, Julie has worked exclusively in private practice.

Julie has completed extensive coursework for her manual therapy certification with NAIOMT. Julie treats a wide variety of patients utilizing therapeutic exercise, functional/sports training, injury prevention and patient education and offers functional dry needling, an effective technique to release trigger points and treat pain and dysfunction. She enjoys treating running injuries in particular and has completed two Boston Marathons. Julie also has a special interest and post-graduate training in the pelvic floor dysfunctional population, treating both male and female patients with pelvic pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, urgency and frequency, pelvic organ prolapse, and the peri-partum population.

When she isn’t working, Julie enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with family.
