Matt H.
PT, DPT
Location: Bay State Physical Therapy – West Warwick, RI
Matt H., PT, DPT, is a lifelong Rhode Islander who went to Assumption College in Mass in 2007 and then graduated from University of Rhode Island in 2010 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He worked outpatient physical therapy for 5 years seeing all kinds of sports injuries as well as normal aches and pain from home, work, and recreational activities.
In 2011, Matt started Hop’s Athletic Performance located in Coventry to help develop baseball and softball players through skill development and strength training to reach their goals of playing in college and/or at the professional level. Over the next 5 years, Matt was employed at two different home care agencies gaining valuable experience along the patient care spectrum. The caseload included patients who recently had knee or hip replacements as well as fall prevention and strengthening. Matt wanted to circle back to outpatient therapy, missing helping active patients get back to their recreational activities on the field, court, or just back playing with their kids or grandkids.
Matt lives in Cranston with his wife and two daughters who are heavily involved in softball, dance, and cheer. He continues to own Hops and can often times be found on a softball field, so make sure you say hi.
