Megan O.
PT, DPT
Location: Bay State Physical Therapy – Somerville, MA
Megan O., PT, DPT attended Boston University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Studies as well as her Doctor of Physical Therapy. Megan is a former competitive gymnast who spent a lot of time in Physical Therapy growing up. She experienced firsthand how invaluable PT is in recovery and wants to provide that same care for others! She wants to help people live an active lifestyle while empowering them to manage their condition through a patient-centered and evidence-based approach.
Megan recently completed an orthopedic residency at Boston University in an outpatient clinic treating a variety of orthopedic conditions in an active patient population as well as patients’ post-concussion. She also has previous clinical experience in school-based and inpatient pediatrics. Megan is actively working on becoming an orthopedic clinical specialist and enjoys treating patients post ACL reconstruction looking to return to sport, post-surgery, and chronic pain. She wants their physical therapy experiences to be characterized by teamwork so they can get back to doing the activities they love without pain or disability.
Outside of work, Megan teaches yoga sculpt classes and enjoys attending group fitness classes (spin, bootcamp, and hot yoga). She also loves traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and loved ones exploring the Boston-Cambridge-Somerville area.
