Melissa B.
PT, DPT
Location: Bay State Physical Therapy – North Andover, MA
Graduate: University of Massachusetts, Lowell
Melissa originally joined the Bay State Physical Therapy team in 2015 as a rehabilitation aide and continued her employment with the company throughout her graduate schooling. In addition to her time at Bay State PT, she completed clinical internships in outpatient orthopedics, outpatient vestibular and concussion management, and acute rehabilitation with emphasis on post-operative orthopedic conditions and stroke rehabilitation.
Melissa’s passion lies in orthopedics and vestibular care. Her focus lies in addressing balance deficits with a special interest in back pain, neck pain, and “dizzy” patients. Melissa enjoys working closely with patients to develop patient-centered, individualized programs in order to ensure her patients reach their goals. Her treatment plans emphasize the importance of education to ensure carryover between appointments and maximize patient self-efficacy. She believes in creating a fun, upbeat healing environment to help her patients get back to doing what they love and feeling safe while doing it.
Melissa brings a 12-year background in dance to her rehabilitation career. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, tap dancing down grocery store aisles, frequenting country concerts, scouring Home Goods for things she doesn’t need, completing craft projects, and visiting Disney World.
