Natalie L.
PT, DPT
Graduate: Springfield College
Natalie grew up locally in Hull and attained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Springfield College. She has gained exposure to a diverse range of patient populations through her clinical work including outpatient orthopedics PT, outpatient neurological PT and acute rehabilitation.
She has a strong passion for educating her patients on the rehabilitation process including their individualized programs, involved anatomy and physiology, chosen interventions, and the evidenced based practice involved in their care. She truly believes if the patient is educated on the process and understands the link to their functional goals, the relationship between patient and therapist is more effective and thus better outcomes can be achieved. Her ultimate goal is to optimize her patients’ function and provide them with life long tools to improve their body awareness and function well after discharge in order to contribute to life long gains in quality of life.
During her clinical rotations she was heavily exposed to Parkinson ’s disease patients which quickly developed a new passion for working with patients suffering from neurological conditions. Natalie is LSVT BIG certified which is a research driven protocol geared towards deriving bigger and better quality movement in patients with Parkinson’s Disease to promote safety and independence with functional mobility.
