Scott R., PT, DPT, originally from the DMV area, has held a lifelong passion for fitness and sports which led to his gradual interest in becoming a physical therapist. Scott played football at the high school and collegiate level, graduating with his B.S. in English from Randolph-Macon College. Prior to joining BSPT, Scott received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. While completing his doctorate, Scott became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to help bridge the gap between rehab and athletic performance. After graduating physical therapy school, he completed OrthoVirginia’s Orthopedic Residency and became a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, which allowed him the opportunity to expand his knowledge on assessing and treating all orthopedic-related conditions while working closely with the Washington Commanders’ team physicians.

Scott is committed to guiding individuals on their path to recovery by creating personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs. His approach combines education, exercise, and hands-on techniques to foster a supportive environment for healing and growth. Scott’s ultimate goal is to empower patients to regain their best possible function utilizing a multifactorial approach tailored to each stage of recovery. Outside of the clinic, Scott enjoys playing flag football, discovering new music, binging new shows, and watching his favorite sports teams.
