Get Inspired By Our 2024 PMC Riding Team

Summer in New England means it is PMC Season at Bay State Physical Therapy and across New England. We are proud to be the Official Physical Therapy Partner of the Pan-Mass Challenge for the seventh consecutive year. As a company whose mission includes empowering health and wellness, we are thrilled to have our own 2024 Bay State Physical Therapy PMC Riding Team in the saddle for another great season.

Ready to Ride

Our 2024 PMC Riding Team consists of eight amazing individuals who will saddle up on the weekend of August 3rd to ride in honor and memory of friends, family, coworkers, and patients. “I am incredibly proud of our riding team once again. They not only commit to rigorous training to prepare for the PMC weekend, but they also set challenging fundraising goals. This reflects our organization’s commitment to supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and those battling cancer,” says Founder and CEO of Bay State Physical Therapy, Steve Windwer, PT, DC.

“I also want to recognize the volunteers from our amazing Bay State Physical Therapy team, who provide medical support across the state throughout the PMC weekend event. Their support, enthusiasm, and commitment to PMC reflect our dedication to empowering the health and wellbeing of our communities.”

“As the Official Physical Therapy Partner of the Pan-Mass Challenge, I’m incredibly excited to see how our team performs, knowing how passionate they are about the PMC mission,” Windwer continued. “We’re also extremely appreciative of our Platinum Corporate Sponsor, Calera Capital, for their support of our efforts. Please join me in donating to their fundraising efforts to help them reach (or surpass!) their fundraising goal of $60,000!”

Extra Inspiration in 2024

Our Pedal Partner, Celia, and her physical therapist, Lexi

For the third consecutive year, we have the special motivation of riding for and celebrating our PMC Pedal Partner, Celia. The Pedal Partner Program offers an opportunity for pediatric oncology patients at Dana-Farber to connect with PMC riders cycling and raising funds for cancer research and treatment in their honor. Celia is a seven-year-old, sweet, and inspiring girl who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in October 2020. As you might imagine, Celia is very special to our team, especially to her physical therapist, Lexi Windwer, PT, DPT, pictured above with Celia at a Pedal Partner event.

Help Support Our Riding Team and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

The Pan-Mass Challenge raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country, contributing its funds to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. 100% of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund, and since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.
