Kara Y., PTA, graduated from Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and from Community College of Rhode Island with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. Kara was always interested in the health field and was first exposed to Physical Therapy when her sister attended therapy when they were younger. Because of this experience, Kara realized she wanted to pursue a career in PT.
Kara has extensive experience in the PT field as she has worked in inpatient skilled nursing facilities, outpatient MVA, and orthopedic settings. Additionally, Kara is dementia certified. Overall, she loves helping people improve their function and live up to their full potential with less pain. She also likes to joke around and make therapy fun!
Outside of work, Kara enjoys reading, drawing, hiking, photography, watching sports, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.
